Earnings Season is Upon Us

Earnings Season is upon us.

Con calls can be a bit dry to review.

In the past, I have idly ruminated and flirted with the idea that I will drop listening to conference calls during earnings season.  Instead, simply measure standard deviation of the the basket of equities we track, comparing that to similar historical deviations.

But such measurements cannot give me the ‘meat’ that I derive from such calls.  There is a ‘flavor’ and level of detail I derive from tuning in, that no mathematical measurement can possibly provide.  So I’ll grin, bear it, and get through another earnings season.

So the calls I’ll be reviewing are …

Wells Fargo (WFC): July 15, 2016
International Business Machines (IBM): July 18, 2016
Microsoft (MSFT): July 19th, 2016
American Express (AXP):  July 20, 2016
Union Pacific (UNP):  July 21, 2016
Colgate Palmolive (CL):  July 28th, 2016 and finally …
Medtronic (MDT):  August 25, 2016

There are a couple more calls in my valuation book I’ll be reviewing as well …
