Thus far in this series, we have stated that we would not dive into all of the accounting details of a companies financial standing and reports. Particularly, because I am not an accountant, and I don’t want to ‘pretend’ to be something that I am not. As well, this series wishes to concern itself with metric measurements like “PEG” ratios, “P/E”‘s, and the like.
However, I am an investor, and that there were general principles that you could become familiar with on such financial statements. We have already covered general principles of the ‘Income Statement’ in the last entry. The general principles … it is a good idea to know when first starting out.
